A coy smile flickered over her face as she walked slowly down a trail. A trail carved into the forest long ago, but a trail that was still traversed none the less. She knew merchants still used this old road, and she relied on it. It was harsh living in the Plains of Mardeo, but she loved every second of it. The people she met, however, was a completely different story. If they could still talk, they would certainly speak of a terrifying creature, shifting and changing forms before finally descending upon them with untold fury.
That was her favorite.
No one knew who she really was, or if – in fact – she was even a she. Her face shifted constantly, and so did her form. One moment she could be a seven foot tall bear, and the next she could be a crow. Whatever image flickered into her head she could shift too and maintain. She was an Existence Sedi and took full joy in her Element, bending the very fabrics of reality to her will.
She stopped suddenly, her crystalline eyes darting uphill, her finally tuned ears twitching as she heard footsteps. They were coming towards her. The smile on her face widened as her eyes closed and then open again, her seemingly white eyes fluttering and then snapping open, a deep purple color taking over the white. The air around her body seemed to shift, as if heat was rising off of a surface and the air around it was cooler. The purple in her eyes matched the air around her body as it seemed to flitter out of focus for a second.
“What’s that up ahead? Did you hear something?” The two rangers moved quickly up the hill, crouching on the summit as they looked down. To their surprise, two of the most beautiful women they had ever seen were standing at the bottom of the hill on the other side, looking up at the rugged rangers. The girls smiled and beckoned the men to come down. “This is our lucky goddamn day,” the one ranger spoke to the other as he started off in a sprint down the hill. “Did you see what they had on!”
The second ranger sighed as he took off after his less intelligent companion. He had heard stories of a witch that walked through the woods, a witch of terrible power that killed all she came across. He was afraid these two girls may work for such a terrible power, but once he got closer to the girls all of his cares drifted away.
“Good evening ladies… you know, you two shouldn’t be walking alone around these parts. Folks talk of a terrible power that lives in these woods.” The first ranger smiled his best smile, trying to smooth his wrinkled and dirty tunic. “My name is Ander, and this is my friend Etan. We hunt these woods. We’ve a small village to the south of here if you ladies would like to come with us?” The foolish ranger’s smile got bigger as one of the two ladies moved closer towards him.
“Annddeerrr…” She breathed into his neck, her tongue flickering out and running along the ranger’s flesh for just a second. She smiled to herself as she felt the ranger tremble slightly, suppressing a laugh as she could feel a bulge in the front of his tunic. “Nice to meet you...”
The second girl moved towards the other ranger, her hands caressing his cheek as the first spoke. “Terrible power you say? We’ve heard stories like that too. We were terrified before you strong boys came to our rescue.” She smiled up at Ander, kissing the other side of his cheek as she pressed his body tightly against his. She could feel the bulge grow as the ranger was obviously at a loss for words.
“It’s a shame,” she said softly as she took a few steps backwards, the ranger’s lustful expression changing to one of surprise and confusion. “You picked the wrong path to take home, Ranger.”
A cold sweat broke out over Ander’s forehead as Etan went to draw his sword, but it was already too late. The air around the two women blurred and flickered as both forms vanished into nothingness. Half a second later, the air around the two rangers flickered, and directly behind them her form flickered back into view. A wicked smile replaced the once seductive grin as she moved forwards, eyes glowing that deep purple color.
“Wrong path indeed, boys.” Her eyes flared with her words, her arms coming up and then swiftly coming back down in a chopping motion towards each ranger’s neck. As her arms came down, the air around them flickered with the same purple light as her eyes and just before impact her arms shifted into razor sharp blades.
Blood sprayed her in the face as the ranger’s heads fell from their bodies, the Existence Sedi’s hands flickering and shifting back into their normal form. The crazed smile grew wider as she touched the blood, smearing it down her cheeks and neck, rubbing it down her chest and torso. “Poor little boys.”
She rummaged through their belongings as the last bit of the sun slipped below the horizon. She didn’t get much, a bit of gold, some weaponry and a bit of food, but with her Element it would be enough to buy a kingdom if she wanted. She chuckled too herself as she slowly and seductively sauntered away, as if the beheaded rangers were still watching her form. “It’s going to be a good night…”[/i]
