Zinerva moved with purpose as she worked her way down the halls of the Tarthian Citadel, she finally had a solo mission on which she could prove her worth to the cause that had become her life since her memories had so abruptly vacated her. She passed orders onto the first Sethian officer she found, and then stopped in the Magik Sedi Armory and donned a new black silk-like armor. Like the Sedian Leather battle armor it was both top and bottom, and held runes throughout, thou where they were carved in the leather and metal armors they were embroidered with Spell thread here. The Silk-like material was cool against her skin and didn't restrict her movement at all, but the armor was actually made of incredibly finely woven strands of hardened black diamond pulled from the earth by artisans of the the Earth Sedi. It shimmered in the dim light of the Armory, but was incredibly tough.
The Runes on the Armor served two purposes, the first was to severely reduce the impact of any weapon that landed on her new armor, and the second was to amplify the amount of dark energy she could pull from her element. Used in combination with the sword that Darken gave her in Sethia the combination made her the second most powerful darkness Sedi in the world. Without even pulling on the power inside of her, a cloak of pure darkness spread out behind her several feet as she walked, and enshrouded her when she stood still, making her all but invisible in the Tarthian landscape.
The ten Sedian Elites were already assembled in the Citadel courtyard as she exited the ominous structure. There were 5 Death Sedi, 1 life, 2 fire, and 2 darkness all geared with elemental enhancing armor and weapons. They unquestioningly fell into formation behind her as she moved out of the inner city and into the outer fortifications. The large army of 200,000 undead Sedi were already forming up as she approached, under the command of undead Sedian officers. They stood in legions just as living Sedi would, assorted by element and skill level. They may have been skeletal, but they were an impressive sight nonetheless.
She sighed and shook her head. Part of her wanted nothing more than to cut these walking corpses loose and let their souls go free, but she saw the necessity of them, without a solid army, they could never hope to bring order to Terra Centilina and with with Living Sedian Ranks so horribly decimated the undead were now the most fearsome fighting force in the world.
She steeled herself for the coming transport, it would take most of what she herself could pull to accomplish it, but it would be a lot better than marching the hundreds of miles to the gate. She made a small silent gesture with her left hand, and the 10 Elites fell into place around her in a circle, weapons drawn, facing outward to protect her from harm should they emerging in the midst of hostile forces at the gate. Chances were it was deserted, but no sense taking foolish risks.
She pulled the Darkness around her and expanded it in an ever widening sphere, until it encompassed the mass of her expeditionary army in full, and then released her grip on the power, forming the image of the Tarthian gate in her mind. The sphere collapsed inward leaving nothing but a subtle breeze where the army had been mere seconds ago.
In the Midst of the Tarthian gate, seconds later the Sphere exploded outward and shattered like glass depositing the Army in the middle of the ruined fortifications. She staggered and dropped to one knee breathing heavily. Being able to access that much power, and being used to it were two completely separate things. The Sedian elite remained around her watchfully eyeing the surroundings as the army took up positions to secure the area. She reached up and caught one of the death Sedi by the hand.
“Secure the two towers, and then set the undead to restoring the defenses. Get the armed and armored in whatever you can find and assign a detachment to erect a pavilion for me to rest in.”
“As you command Field General Zinerva” The Sedian Elite saluted and moved about his task, within moments word had spread through the army and construction started on the two towers, and pavilion as detachments of earth undead moved to work. The rest of the Army continued to fortify defenses and secure armor and weapons from the ruins.
