The liquid fires that seemed only inches beneath the black surface of the mountains raged violently. A fierce fire that was felt hotter than the hottest forge. It devastated the landscape it flowed in, burning the soil and almost fusing it into a black rock substance. A sharp, harsh, jagged landscape stretching as far as the eye could see. Marred with pits of open lava, boiling and bubbling angrily. Testaments to the powers of the great black volcano and the power that slept within.
She felt them come. Felt the scouts first step foot onto her blasted lands. Her ravished kingdom. She was the creator of this world, a Goddess of Fire and Earth. She molded and twisted the very earth’s crust to her whim; scalding the seas and making all life die off. She was the black plague that stood as a spot on the map of Terra Centilina.
It made her smile. She would allow them to get a few feet onto the black lands, watching with glee from within the earth as they tried to maneuver the jagged terrain. Then, out of no where, the ground would rumble, molten lava oozing forth. The heat would be intense, causing almost instant second degree burns, those burns quickly becoming much worse with prolonged exposure.
Let them come. That thought made her smile too while she slept in the rivers of lava. Resting in her comfortable bath of fire and earth. She saw everything that happened in her lands at all times. Let them all come. She would seer all of them. Burn the entire race to ashes.
Eagerly she awaited her next visitors.
