The house wasn’t anything to her anymore. The heartless gaze as she looked around the room, her skin red from scrubbing at it, the clothes fresh and comfortable, the odd jewelry that she wore when she wasn’t traveling for battle adorning her arms in small silver and cream rivulets. Obsidian curls were pulled back and pinned up into a neat style, and she was wearing a dress. She hated dresses, but she needed to play the part. Even as she stared into the body-length mirror at her reflection, she reminded herself the best way in neutralizing your position is to blend in – do this by developing that personality and becoming it. Perhaps this is why she felt there was little left for her in this world or any other – because of the façade she placed on so many times – she’d lost herself somewhere in it.
She turned on her heel, moving to leave, but stopped as she looked back into her home at the item that had somehow managed to tear a nice sized hole in her roof. She felt its power but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to invite the trouble that would come along with wielding such an object. Sure enough someone would be expecting her to hand it over, and she had no plans on giving up such power. If she left it though, it would be easy enough for someone else to find. Decisions, decisions. She finally turned and gathered it up; stuffing it within one of the old burlap bags she had used to travel in. She felt the power surge through her, felt the whisper of it against her inner mind and smiled slightly as she adjusted the sack on her shoulder settling it. She should bring more, but this place held nothing. It’s walls never really held more than wood and old memories that she’d rather not come back to.
After all, almost everyone she knew was probably dead or gone; and that meant it was time to restart again, find a new personality, bury who she was before, and begin anew.
Everyone dreams. It all just depends on the timing of when they dream, and how awake The Dream Sedi happens to be. We can be dangerous; however to breach the mind is a tricky thing. If you piss off the wrong person it isn’t long before you find your own life extinguished. Which is why you have to plan so carefully, because if you invade the dream and the mind becomes strong enough – they’ll turn what you thought was so important against you. However, if you have the right research and time you’ll be able to effectively control that which you seek, and find what it is you were looking for. The other stronger elements may not admit how much they need us – because if you work correctly when they awake they won’t know if it was some nightmare or a kind of displaced reality.
