“Lasius, you look like shit.”
Daegan surged forward, as Lasius appeared before him, catching him before he would have face-planted into the hard ground before him. His concentration was broken and several of the Sedi that were being transported through the Shadow Realm found themselves meeting rather untimely and rather grotesque ends. Limbs were ripped from bodies and blood spewed forth like fountains within the Realm as Daegan suddenly halted his efforts, the realization of what was happening around him smacking him in the face.
He could feel the disturbance in Cyrida, as if he were standing in the center of the carnage. Still he held Lasius, now crouching to gingerly support the man. Thankfully Lomes had done whatever it was she had done and restored at least some semblance of his sanity. The other results would have been much different had she not. Most of those Sedi raised would have fallen, Daegan ripping away the Shadows from them as he appeared in his City to defend it.
But he was a changed man now, and despite the screaming of the Shadows, he knew it was too late to alter the course of events. Hardly any Sedi remained in the City of Shadows and right now there were far more pressing matters to attending too. Slowly, he hefted Lasius up onto his shoulder, turning to face Lomes.
“And seriously Lasius. Find a tailor.”
He chuckled slightly as the green and aqua fire blazed brilliantly around his body. The nether energy caused no heat, it was merely a pooling of the Sage’s energy as he moved steady towards the levitating form of Lomes. Lasius rested on the shoulder that held the Arc of Death, leaving the Arc of Shadows in Daegan’s free arm. He arched this arm outwards, a massive almost tidal wave of Shadows sweeping across those that had been risen and not yet transported to Sethia in one fell swoop.
“Lomes, darling, we have some issues to attend too…”
Daegan trudged towards her body still, the shadows trailing behind him like obedient pets should. He had no idea what was going on to the East and even though the elements he controlled were not being harnessed he could certain feel the usage of the energy. It was as if the blasted War of the Gods was happening again, and in essence, it was. This thought brought a scowl to Daegan’s face as he shifted his weight slightly, trying to make Lasius as comfortable as Daegan could.

The Resurrection was almost complete when Lasius appeared in front of Daegan. Lomes was so focused on what she was doing that she literally had not noticed the arrival of the Lightning Childe so when Daegan approached and her eyes took in the blistered mass of pus that was the former savior of the Sedian race she was shocked. The shock shattered her concentration and the Life and Dream energy she was channeling spun wildly out of control, she had no way to reign it back in in time. The soft golden glow around her flared into a shining aura that was completely chaotic. The last 1/5th of the Sedi that were slowly being resurrected were obliterated, the life energy that had gathered in them spun away wildly out of control flashing across the continent to the south.
Dream energy that she had been harnessing in preparation for the memory wipe of the last to be brought back was also scattered, the mass quantities of it split in half and scattered east and west, destabilizing the barrier between the dream world and the real one, which in turn weakened the barriers between all worlds briefly. She dropped to the ground in a heap from where she was levitating cross legged. The Shadows around her scattered as well leaving her naked briefly before she got her mind back together.
As she got to her feet rapidly the Shadows swirled around her form again back into the shifting clinging dress that left her movement completely unrestricted. Her pale green eyes locked onto Daegan with a look of complete and total horror.
“Do you have any Idea what just happened... I certainly hope you do because I surely don't, and that's not a good thing.” Her voice was unsteady, but she was rapidly gaining back her composure. The amount of energy that had just coursed unrestricted through her body was a bit unsettling to say the least. ”Well thats the end of that resurrection,” She glanced meaningfully around at the obliterated body parts laying in the crater. “However we got quite a bit done guess I better fix up crispy here.”
He glided over to Daegan feet not quite touching the ground and placed the hand with the Arc of Life on Lasius. The result was nearly instantaneous, she still held an incredible amount of energy from it. His body was suffused with a brilliant golden Light, and when it passed he was fully healed, energy restored, and ready for action. Of course it hurt like hell the body suddenly regenerating like that, skin pulling together and all, but it was nothing compared to the pain he had endured for the past several hours.
Removing her hand she glanced at Daegan and then in the direction of Sethia. “Shall we?”

A snarl erupted loud enough through the forest to send the birds scurrying – and in this land of this world Dragon’s slept it sent most of the prey into hiding. Malkate felt the eruption into this world and knew that somehow Sitherack had evaded her perfectly set up trap. She felt the tear as the other ‘her’ found her way into this world, so carelessly trying to escape her set up for the creature. Her red eyes glittered with a blood-raged intent to kill, and her body turned from where she was in the forest and took off at a run, her long legs carrying her towards the clone as her fingers curved around the sword long before it formed. It was a nasty looking blade, and it was called to her fingers almost instantly. It was a good three feet long, with a curved edge and small hooks on the blade so once it was in the flesh even pulling it out would cause more damage. The edge glittered with a sharp hone, and a faint discolored glisten. Malkate’s eyes were a blood red, almost darker than normal as the inner fire burned and she erupted from behind the Clone where she appeared, moving with an ungodly and unearthly speed that had nothing to do with her Magus powers and everything to do with a body that had been honed into a weapon. Bringing the blade up, she gripped the hilt and moved to shove it through the spine of her would-be-shadow. The energy rippled around Malkate as her magic began to create spell she was preparing.
The Malkate clone, being a creature of darkness manifested made no effort whatsoever to avoid the physical attack, the speed and ferocity with which her double move did not concern her as it would a creature of the flesh. She was as vulnerable as any other creature to the bladed weapon, but the Darkness could reform her should she take mortal damage, and she knew this all to well. She continued to shape the energy as the other Malkate attacked, she was an easy target, being as she made no effort to dodge or block. Her left hand changed subtlety as the energies shaped, dark tendrils growing from the lighted skeins that trailed from her motions.
The fingers of the hand grew pointed, razor sharp and claw like, as the vicious looking blade ripped into her body, the Clone attacked with split second response, the left hand that was now a claw closing around the Arm holding the sword. The razor sharp claw like appendages would easily slice through most armor and have little or no difficulty with the flesh. It should cut deeply, at least to the point of needed quite a few stitches.
Mal felt the claws bite into her flesh and she felt the startling pain – and once upon a time it might stagger her enough to break her concentration but now she just looked at the woman with a hateful glare – and her lips curved in a mannerism that could send young children screaming to their parents at night. As if somehow she knew that Sitherack could see this woman through the other’s eyes – or merely perhaps that Malkate just had a darker side to her that was finally showing its face. She took the blade and twisted it in the stomach of her mirror image, using the jagged edge to tear away more at the flesh that simply seemed to bleed Darkness. The energy built, unrecognizable as it was simply pure energy, and she unleashed it upon the woman without mercy, pushing that energy down the blade and sending it outwards like a large explosion of sunshine.
As the blade dug deeply into her stomach her eyes narrowed, she didn't feel pain as she had no real nerve endings, but it was a decidedly uncomfortable feeling, having a foreign object inside her like this. She could feel the energy building within it, she couldn't identify what the spell was, nor did she try, she knew this creature, this host, whatever you wanted to call the Original Malkate could not truly kill her until she killed Sitherack, Sitherack knew this too. She was completely focused on what she was doing, so even as the Blade sank deeply into her stomach twisted and tore, She released the Spell energy that she herself had been weaving.
She released it through the claw, that dug deeply into Malkate's flesh, and dark energy seeped inside Malkate's body. It would immediately begin to corrupt her body starting with her blood, Malkate would have less than 10 seconds to sever her arm before the corrupting darkness would reach her heart and be distributed to every system of her body. It would give her power, strength and the ability to manipulate Darkness, just as it had done for Raeghan, but it would also corrupt her and give Sitherack control over her actions. His whims would become uncontrollable needs that she would be compelled to carry out.
Just as she finished releasing the spell light Exploded inside of her, her eyes widened ever so briefly before light exploded from them too, her form shattered like glass, razor sharp shards of darkness scattering in Every direction. She would be unable to reform here on this plane, she would have to be remade in the presence of Sitherack, in the plane of Fire where he was located.
Malkate didn’t understand, the pain was coursing through her body, and she felt a thick almost venom being pushed into her body, thick and corrupted and she was sure it was toxin – until the placid lucidness started filling into her. A snarl erupted and she used the power she had as the corrupted Darkness spread through her to do three things almost simultaniously – she dropped the existence barrier and banished the hole, she pulled her body away from that world and dropped it randomly somewhere on Terra Centilina, and even as the Darkness started taking control over her she sent a message on the faint link she had with Lasius and severed it so that no one could use it against him.
Lasius… Sitherack… wounded… …using me.. ..run..
Sitherack floated in the lava pit, the burning molten rock restoring the Arc of Fire, and energizing it to new levels of ferocity as he watched the fight between Malkate and the clone. His thoughts dictated the Clones actions, but mostly in a subconscious manner it was not something he had to concentrate on just something he had to will. As the Clone was scattered and the corrupting darkness began to fill Malkate's body Sitherack considered using it to kill her right there on the spot. She had proven herself to be far to dangerous.
However the Idea of having possession of her enticed him, He could use her to bring unfathomable pain to his brother, He could use her for his own personal pleasures, and most of all he could use the Knowledge in her head, her thoughts and her abilities to stay one step ahead of his enemies. He Closed his eyes and watched her struggle. She fought against him, plane-hopped back to Terra Centilina, dropped the existence shell, reached out with her mind for his brother... and then she was his entirely.
He reached into her mind and bent his will upon her. Even as he did so He stepped out of the Plane of Fire and into Terra Centilina. His eyes strained to focus at the shifting of Light into the darkness that now covered this plane. But adapt quickly they did, She would be compelled to travel to him. He stood on the Southern Shore of the inland Lake of Terra Centilina to the South of Sethia. He commanded her to teleport there immediately.
Malkate was never strong enough. No matter how hard she fought, no matter how much power she attained she was never strong enough. The balance of her power was interrupted and her body fell victim to the man she despised amongst other things. Part of what was left of her repaired mind fell away at the knowledge that Sitherack now held her like a puppet, and after so fierce a battle, over such a little thing. Her arm was bleeding and it hurt like hell but it was faint, a faint feeling like she was floating somewhere inside of her body but unable to react. The command tugged at her and she tried to resist, however every inch she thought she gained she lost three more as her body stepped forward, and she dissapeared; reappearing to where he commanded her, her red eyes dull; void, not filled with the presense of spirit that had her.
If she’d had the power she would have glared at him, all that hatred and rage boiled but never reached her body or face; the reaction itself was mute and felt only by her presence within herself. The good news was that she was still breathing; the bad news was worse than ever being cornered by Sever; she at then had a semblence of free will. Being under this man’s control was worse than what she’d ever thought she’d experianced previously, she silently prayed that before she hurt anyone she really loved someone killed her.
As she appeared He conjured forth the Malkate clone, and had her stand next to him. He looked over the Real Malkate and smiled, before drawing forth the Arc of Light. He turned to the clone and slashed her across the face, neck, hands, and torso. Savage wounds that bled darkness, but were not enough to kill.
“Malkate, I want you to Bind this clone with magical shackles, You are to Go and find Lasius, and Daegan, bring them this clone. Explain to Lasius that the clones was what you meant about me using you.” He smiled cruelly. “You will tell them that you got her to reveal the Location of my temple. She will tell them how to find it. And you and her will lead them there. When they arrive you will help me Kill them. Is that understood?”
